Growing up in a Cuban American household, it was always instilled in me how important it was to help those in need. My parents came to this country with nothing, but they found the American Dream and always reiterated how important it was to give back to the community. As a kid I used to volunteer with my local church in food and clothing drives and participated in community beautification projects with my Boy Scout Troop.
In college, I had the privilege of serving as Philanthropy Chairman for my fraternity, successfully raising money for the USO and running a food drive for Knights Pantry.
As an active member of the Orlando community with a job I love in mortgages and real estate, I’ve always been looking for opportunities to give back, so it was an easy decision when Jessica approached me with the idea of starting a new nonprofit to help and uplift those who need it most.
